Area: Port Credit
Surface: Rubber safety surface
Theme: nautical, harbour
Parking: Lots of free parking, in the Port Credit Arena lot off of Park St. E, or in the main park lot off of High St. E.
Facilities: Sandbox, inclusive swing, 5 minute walk to river
Site: A very promising set up! The playground is centred at the northern boarder of the Park backing onto the fenced property line. The parking lot is within 100m to the west, but a hill with trees creates a buffer.
Sight-lines: Fairly good. The climber is a dense structure, so I most frequently lost track of my littles while they were on it. There are cool “out buildings” surrounding the main play structure, almost like a little main street for the kids to run through and play in. While they do block some of the sight-lines the kids had so much fun it was worth it!
Insider Info: Stay a while! Bring a lunch and plan an extended stay. There is a lot to do at this park, and the Port Credit Pubic Library is a short walk away as well. We played and then walked down to the river for a snack and to watch the ducks, before heading back and mastering the built-in excavators in the sandbox!
